1 John 5:14 – 11 says ‘This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I love this scripture: It talks of God’s faithfulness and promise. There are 3 things to note:
- His Will – It should be in alignment with God’s word, not self-seeking but rather outward looking and should ultimately give God all the glory.
- Our Actions – We need to ask and believe that He will answer us. Faith has to take center stage. We should have the word of God written in our hearts that we can always speak it back to Him in all circumstances.
- The Promise – He hears us and answers our requests
Scriptures to Ponder:
